Dental cavities is a result of tooth decay. Cavities are considered to be a disease that damages the structure
of the teeth. Cavities can cause pain, the loss of of teeth, and infections. If left untreated, you may stop
brushing which will lead to more severe tooth problems.
Tooth decay, and hence, cavities is caused by bacteria that produces acid. Leaving sugar on your teeth can lead
to the development of acid-producing bacteria. Acidic pH levels in your mouth will adversely affect your teeth.
This can lead to tooth decay, and ultimately, cavities.
