Abdominoplasty Is An Important Part of Most Mommy Makeovers
During an abdominoplasty, Dr. Rassael can repair separated abdominal muscles, remove fatty tissue, trim away your excess skin, tighten remaining skin, and raise your belly button.
We perform three types of tummy tucks: mini, traditional, and modified.
Depending on the fat deposits in your abdomen, as well as the degree of separation in your muscles, you may only need a small incision.
For those who have had C-Sections or for those who require extensive refinements, a more extensive procedure may be necessary.
In either case, Dr. Rassael will place incisions in the most discreet areas possible, where the resulting scars can be easily hidden by undergarments and swimwear.

Recovering From a Mommy Makeover
After your mommy makeover procedure, you will need downtime. You should have someone staying with you to help during the first few days of your recovery. They will also take you home after surgery.
It's possible that Dr. Rassael will attach drains to avoid fluid buildup. After seven to 10 days, you will return to the office so he can remove the drains. He will also check on your general wellness and response to the procedure. Feel free to ask him any questions that you have during this time.
In the unlikely event of complications, he will also take swift action to resolve these issues.
During your recovery, you may need to wear compression garments and a soft bra, which will help your skin conform post-surgery.
Depending on the extent of your treatment, you should be able to return to nonstrenuous work in one to two weeks. Dr. Rassael will let you know when it is safe to resume normal exercise and other strenuous activity.
